The reading list below is intended to take the student beyond the syllabus in areas that interest the student. The list is not meant to be inclusive of all possible books as many other books are worthy or reading and will equally extend the student. The idea is that a range of readings will give the student much greater depth of understanding.

Tips:

  • Choose books that you enjoy but also don’t give up too easily. Learning is hard.

  • Try to make links to your subject but also to other books you have read

  • Look for the big picture understanding and supplement it with detailed evidence. How does it all fit together?

  • Remember some books are more reference style books and others are meant to be read.
