Урок английского языка в 7 классе Учитель: Рязанова И.В. Тема: “Как американцы проводят свободное время?” (“How do Americans spend their free time?”) Дата проведения: 29 марта 2007г. (в рамках городского семинара учителей иностранных языков) Цели урока: Развивающая: Развитие внимания; способности к выбору средств выражения, адекватных речевой ситуации; развитие коммуникабельности; развитие способности осуществлять репродуктивные и продуктивные речевые действия. Учебная: Развитие речевого умения (монологическая речь), развитие умения говорить на основе услышанного и прочитанного, развитие умения понимать на слух / читать с целью общего охвата и полного понимания содержания. Воспитательная: Воспитание уважительного отношения к мнению других людей, формирование способности понимать образ жизни и поведение зарубежных сверстников, осознание своей культуры через контекст культуры англоязычных стран. Социальный аспект: знакомство с некоторыми данными о свободном времени американцев, знакомство с результатами опроса AMERICAN MOSAIC о проведении американцами своего свободного времени. Задачи урока:
Форма урока: групповая работа. Тип урока: комплексного применения знаний Дидактические материалы: карточки с высказываниями по теме урока; картинки по теме урока, компьютерная презентация. ТСО: компьютер, проектор. Ход урока: I. Организационный момент. В классе развешаны высказывания по теме урока, разложены картинки. Sayings: It’s not whether you win or lose that matters, it’s how you play the game. Business before pleasure. Work done, have your fun. The more we do, the more we can do. If you can’t beat them, join them. Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body. Don’t forget to do good and share what you have. Учащиеся знакомятся с высказываниями, картинками. Учитель предлагает сформулировать тему урока на основе аудио-визуальных атрибутов. II. Фонетическая зарядка. T.: You have to tell me as many words as you remember about leisure activities with the following sounds: [t] – sport, watching TV, tapes, stamps, stickers; [r] – reading, programme, relaxing; [d] – dancing, drawing; [l] – play, listen to music, collecting, leisure time; [s] – swimming, play sport; [g] – go shopping, go to the cinema. Well, the average adult spends almost two hours a day on household activities like cooking, cleaning and paying bills. How do we know? The Department of Labor has just released a study of how Americans use their time.
The study confirmed something that many people already knew. Women spend more time on child care and housework than men do even when the women are employed. Men, however, spend more time at work. Men also spend more time on leisure activities and sports. They average five hours twenty minutes a day, half an hour more than women.
Leisure activities include things like watching television, seeing friends or exercising. Both men and women reported that they spent about half their leisure time watching television. Visiting friends and attending social events was the next most common leisure activity for both sexes.
